Ryan Lawn & Tree Inc is seeking a motivated Landscape and Maintenance Trainee to grow hands-on skills through mentorship and teamwork. The role balances creative design with practical fieldwork on client properties, providing an entry point into a expanding Midwest lawn and landscape company.

You will gain experience through real projects, with guidance and opportunities to advance in a member-owned, ESOP-driven culture that values servant leadership and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
• Able to pass DOT physical, background check, and drug screening.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to walk, stand, and push/pull equipment for extended periods, including up to 3 miles per day in the field.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, year-round.
• 6 months of landscape experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Help with landscape projects ranging in scale from planting trees, shrubs, and perennials to hardscaping projects and drainage on our client properties.
• Must be able to work well in a team environment as well as efficiently on your own while taking care of client properties and taking pride in the end results of their work.
• Interact with clients daily, communicating the process and expectations of services needed and services performed along with recommendations for other RYAN services needed on their property.
• Possess a general knowledge of Design/Build practices as well as other RYAN services.

Position Overview
