Job Description

Paradise Valley Country Club is hiring a Landscape Maintenance Foreman

Pay Range: $20-24.00 per hour DOE

Location: 7101 N. Tatum Blvd. Paradise Valley, AZ 85253

Hours: Must be able to start at 5:00am.

We Are Seeking

The Landscape Maintenance foreman position performs specialized installations, maintenance and repair work related to their assigned area of responsibility. This includes performing inspections and preventative maintenance of property grounds and a variety of equipment. They identify issues and initiate the repair or replacement of items. Inspecting and monitoring conditions of assigned areas on the property to determine compliance with standards. The position will be responsible for water management and irrigation best practices within assigned areas. They will also train and oversee subordinate staff on landscape and irrigation maintenance. Additionally, they maintain and/or clean club facilities, courts, structures, grounds, golf course deserts and equipment. PVCC seeks an innovative, driven, and passionate Landscape Maintenance Foreman who is a problem-solver and outcome-oriented.

• 8-hour shift
• Day shift 5am-1:30pm
• Monday-Friday
• Weekend Flexibility

About

This onsite position involves maintaining country club grounds, landscape beds, flower beds/pots, and golf course deserts. Responsibilities include leading and working with a crew to achieve production goals, performing manual labor, and general landscaping tasks such as mowing, weed control, turf maintenance, shrub/tree care, irrigation system maintenance, and more. Practical experience with commercial irrigation systems is desirable. Candidates should be safety-conscious, good at time management, and able to build positive relationships with members and co-workers. Ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential.

Essential Duties

• Support PVCC Vision, Mission and Goals.
• Maintain grounds, including debris cleanup, mowing, trimming, planting, inspecting for safety, and irrigation maintenance.
• Maintain landscaping equipment and vehicles, report issues.
• Handle special projects like lighting, fence repair, storm damage, sprinkler installation, and chemical application.
• Operate lawn and landscape equipment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and train Ground Maintenance Workers.
• Plan and execute maintenance tasks and projects.
• Communicate goals and progress with team and supervisor.
• Manage seasonal projects and perform specialized installation and repair work.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and monitor grounds for standards compliance.
• Manage water and irrigation practices.
• Train staff on landscape and irrigation maintenance.
• Maintain club facilities and equipment.
• Have practical experience with irrigation and low voltage lighting systems.

Requirements

• 1 year experience in Landscape Maintenance (preferred)
• 1 year supervisory/foreman experience (preferred)
• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• Minimum five years' experience in grounds maintenance, irrigation, or related manual labor
• Valid AZ Class D Driver’s License
• Ability to pass background and drug tests
• Strong leadership, planning, and communication skills
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
• Physical ability to perform outdoor manual labor and operate equipment

Physical Demands

• Work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Operate heavy equipment and lift objects up to 100lbs
• Perform physical tasks requiring bending, lifting, and standing
• Work safely on ladders and slippery surfaces

Salary

$22-25/hr
