Maxalea Landscaping is seeking an experienced Landscape Maintenance Crew Leader to guide a crew of landscape technicians on daily assignments and deliver high-quality outdoor spaces.

This hands-on leadership role requires knowledge of landscape maintenance, the ability to train and motivate the crew, and a commitment to safety, efficiency, and customer communication on site in Baltimore, MD. Full-time, hourly pay based on experience.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of professional landscaping experience.
• 1+ year of crew leadership or supervisory experience.
• Experience with landscape maintenance techniques, equipment, and materials.
• Working knowledge of landscape installation practices.
• Ability to lead, train, and motivate a crew in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and work alongside a landscape maintenance crew on daily assignments.
• Perform landscape maintenance tasks, including mowing, trimming, edging, mulching, and general property upkeep.
• Safely operate and maintain mowers, blowers, trimmers, edgers, and other landscaping equipment.
• Assign daily tasks, train crew members, and monitor productivity and work quality.
• Ensure jobs are completed on time, within scope, and according to company standards.
• Communicate professionally with customers and provide job updates to supervisors.
• Track daily labor hours, materials, and job progress, including timesheets and job logs.
• Maintain clean, organized job sites and enforce safety procedures, including proper PPE use.
• Early morning starts, with overtime or weekend work as needed.

Maxalea Landscaping is hiring an experienced Landscape Maintenance Crew Leader to lead a team of landscape technicians while working alongside them to maintain high-quality outdoor spaces.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who knows landscape maintenance, can keep a crew productive, and takes pride in delivering quality work safely and efficiently.

What You'll Do

Lead and work alongside a landscape maintenance crew on daily assignments.

Perform landscape maintenance tasks, including mowing, trimming, edging, mulching, and general property upkeep.

Safely operate and maintain mowers, blowers, trimmers, edgers, and other landscaping equipment.

Assign daily tasks, train crew members, and monitor productivity and work quality.

Ensure jobs are completed on time, within scope, and according to company standards.

What We're Looking For

2-3 years of professional landscaping experience.

1+ year of crew leadership or supervisory experience.

Experience with landscape maintenance techniques, equipment, and materials.

Working knowledge of landscape installation practices.

Ability to lead, train, and motivate a crew in a fast-paced environment.

Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills.

Valid driver's license required.

DOT medical card or equipment certifications are a plus.

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

What to Expect

Full-time, physically active outdoor work in varying weather conditions.

Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs.; heavier lifting may be team-assisted or reasonably accommodated.

Work on uneven terrain, slopes, and occasionally near traffic or active construction areas.

Exposure to outdoor elements, noise, dust, pollen, and landscaping materials.

Required use of appropriate safety equipment and PPE.

Early morning starts, with overtime or weekend work as needed.
