Job summary

Maxalea, a Baltimore-based landscape company, seeks a dependable Landscape Maintenance Technician I for full-time, hourly work. You’ll mow, edge, trim lawns, perform planting, mulching, soil preparation, seasonal cleanups, and general property maintenance under the guidance of an experienced crew.

No prior landscaping experience is required; we provide training. We value punctuality, dependability, and teamwork, with opportunities to learn on residential and commercial sites across the Baltimore

Responsibilities

• Mow, edge, and trim lawns using commercial landscaping equipment.
• Perform planting, mulching, weeding, watering, and soil preparation.
• Assist with pruning shrubs, small trees, and plants.
• Complete seasonal cleanups, leaf removal, and general property maintenance.
• Operate landscaping tools such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and hand tools.
• Load, unload, clean, and organize equipment and materials.
• Work with Crew Leader and teammates to complete daily assignments safely and efficiently.
• Follow company safety procedures and use required PPE.

Maxalea is hiring dependable, hardworking Landscape Maintenance Technicians to help maintain residential and commercial properties throughout the Baltimore area.

In this hands-on role, you'll work alongside an experienced crew performing lawn care, landscape maintenance, planting, and seasonal cleanup.

Whether you have landscaping experience or are looking to get started in the industry, we provide training to help you develop your skills.

We’re looking for team players who take pride in their work, show up on time, and are ready to learn.

What You’ll Do

• Mow, edge, and trim lawns using commercial landscaping equipment
• Perform planting, mulching, weeding, watering, and soil preparation
• Assist with pruning shrubs, small trees, and plants
• Complete seasonal cleanups, leaf removal, and general property maintenance

What We’re Looking For

• No landscaping experience required — training provided!
• Previous landscaping, groundskeeping, or outdoor labor experience is a plus
• Dependable, punctual, and willing to learn
• Comfortable performing physical, hands-on work outdoors
• Able to follow instructions and work well with others
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Valid driver's license preferred, but not required

Schedule & Physical Requirements

• Full-time, hourly position
• Must be available for early start times, overtime, or weekend shifts as needed
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, and rain
• Ability to frequently stand, walk, bend, kneel, and perform physical labor
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., with heavier lifting team-assisted or reasonably accommodated
• Comfortable working on uneven terrain and safely operating landscaping equipment
• Required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
