Job summary

Mariani Landscape is seeking a dedicated Client Representative to be the primary contact for our maintenance clients. You will nurture relationships from initial sale through ongoing weekly maintenance while driving new business and increasing department revenue by delivering exceptional customer service.

You will manage client needs, coordinate with administration, production, and crew leaders, and ensure satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 2+ years sales experience, preferably in the landscape industry.
• Demonstrate exemplary knowledge of landscape terminology, plant materials, and installation techniques.
• Previous experience as a Client Representative, Production Coordinator, or Crew Leader preferred.
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the “Mariani” approach to Maintenance and follow Mariani standards.
• Ability to work in a team environment, and independently, including taking direction and constructive feedback from team members, as well as providing feedback to other team members.
• Demonstrate flexibility to perform duties wherever volume deems it necessary.
• Minimize non-productive time and fill slow periods with activities that will enable you to prepare to meet the future needs of internal and external clients.

Responsibilities

• Maintain established sales volume by staying current with client needs, trends, and competitors; pursue new leads to increase sales.
• Initiate and attend all Maintenance client presentations and meetings.
• Participate in onsite visits and walkthroughs with clients to ensure needs are met.
• Inform clients of relevant issues and involve them in decisions.
• Follow the sales process and communicate with admin and production teams.
• Manage all client communications to provide a single point of contact.
• Advise clients on additional services or enhancements.
• Oversee weekly maintenance and enhancements to exceed expectations and protect Mariani’s reputation.
• Assist in scheduling jobs with Production Coordinators.
• Maintain records (client history, sales reports, etc.).
• Approve work orders and change orders with the maintenance department.
• Prepare proposals, renewals, and contracts using templates.
• Monitor billing and accounts receivable.
• Coordinate with Crew Leaders to fulfill client requests.
• Communicate project status with Administrative Support, Accounting, Production Coordinators, and Crew Leaders.
