Job summary

Ruppert Landscape is seeking an Assistant Field Manager to support the Field Manager in planning and supervising landscape maintenance and snow removal projects. You will help develop the team, manage labor and materials, and ensure contracts stay on budget and meet quality standards.

The role emphasizes coaching staff, coordinating schedules, and working closely with field and enhancement managers to achieve branch objectives. A valid driver’s license and horticultural background are preferred.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to manage others and supervise in field operations.
• Experience working with customers on contract service projects.
• At least 1 year in contract maintenance in a commercial setting.
• Degree in horticulture or related field; 2+ years industry experience preferred.
• Ability to diagnose plant health issues and schedule treatments.
• Familiarity with operating vehicles and equipment used in maintenance and snow removal.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record in last 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and supervise daily production activities on assigned contracts.
• Develop understanding of branch budgets and communicate budget hours to crew.
• Monitor quality of work and address issues with customers as needed.
• Train and develop field staff; participate in certification programs.
• Maintain assigned vehicles and equipment in good working order.
• Collaborate with other field managers to achieve branch goals.
