Job summary

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience in landscape maintenance, horticulture or related field.
• Valid Driver License.
• Ability to perform manual labor outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to operate hand tools, power tools and powered equipment.
• Ability to read fertilizer and pesticide labels.
• Ability to perform minor repairs and maintenance of equipment.
• Ability to follow instructions and work with others.
• Experience working with a diverse group of people.

Responsibilities

• Mows, edges, trims, removes debris, prunes shrubs and mulches.
• Operates zero turn, reel, rotary or push mowers to maintain grassed areas.
• Operates 2-cycle equipment such as string trimmers, edgers and hedge trimmers.
• Prunes trees and shrubs; ensures proper drainage via landscape tools.
• Installs irrigation and applies fertilizers and pesticides.
• Performs routine equipment maintenance and basic repairs.
• Marks sports fields with field paint when required.
