Halff Associates, Inc. seeks a Landscape Designer II to join our Planning & Landscape Architecture team in Houston, TX or The Woodlands, TX.

You will collaborate with a talented group of landscape architects, planners, and professionals on diverse public and private projects, contributing to design from concept through construction documents. Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in landscape architecture from an accredited university.
• 3–4 years of Landscape Architecture experience in parks, recreation and trail planning and design, urban parks, plazas, streetscapes, transportation enhancements, land development, and large-scale planning projects.
• Texas registration as a Professional Landscape Architect preferred or able and willing to obtain.
• Proficient with AutoCAD, Land F/X, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop/InDesign/Illustrator), and Lumion.

Responsibilities

• Landscape architectural and planning project support.
• Work directly with landscape architects and project managers.
• Participate in site inventory and analysis.
• Assist with project research and data compilation for design process.
• Produce conceptual site planning and graphics (hand and digital), schematic/preliminary design plans and graphics, design development and construction document plans and details.
• Produce quantity take-offs and develop cost estimates.
• Assist with technical specification preparation for bid documents.
• Produce landscape compliance documents for land development projects.
• Produce maps and graphic renderings in support of planning projects.

Halff is thrilled to announce an immediate opening for a Landscape Designer to join our dynamic Planning & Landscape Architecture team in either Houston, TX or The Woodlands, TX! What you will do:

• Landscape architectural and planning project support.
• Work directly with landscape architects and project managers.

What you will need:

• A Bachelor's or master's degree in landscape architecture from an accredited university is required.
• A minimum of 3-4 years of experience in Landscape Architecture, specifically in designing projects such as parks, recreation and trail planning and design, urban parks, plazas, streetscapes, transportation enhancements, land development, and providing support for large-scale planning projects.
• Texas registration as a Professional Landscape Architect is preferred, or able and willing to obtain.
• Demonstrated experience preparing site analysis and conceptual design graphics/exhibits.
• Demonstrated experience preparing construction documents.
• Well organized, detail-oriented, and highly motivated.
• Strong design and graphic skills; writing skills a plus.
• Demonstrated experience with industry software applications such as AutoCAD, Land F/X, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite - Photoshop/InDesign/Illustrator, Microsoft Office and Lumion.
• MicroStation and ArcGIS experience is a plus.
• Ability to travel periodically primarily in state to support project needs.
