Job Description: Landscape Designer/Salesperson
Purpose:
The Landscape Designer/Salesperson is a vital role within the management team. This role designs, sells and manages Design/Build projects that meet or exceed client expectations and sales/revenue goals.

Metrics to Measure Results:
Success in this position will be measured by:
Project Design:
- Put Together Design Concepts in Accordance to The Scope of Work
- Generate Presentation Packages
- Create Any Necessary Support Drawings to Aid in The Sale of The Design
- Discuss Job in Weekly Sales Meeting Until Sold or Closed
- Estimate all jobs in which you are responsible. Prepare any Construction Details and Material Selections in Order to Put Together Estimate Pricing
- Request and Receive Estimates from Sub-Contractors and Vendors
- Review All Pricing with The President for Approval
- Create Proposal and Proposal Package with Support Drawings, Plant Sample Images, Inspirational Images, And Any Other Materials Required to Support the Design.
- Present to The Client and Receive Feedback. Make Any Necessary Revisions to Design and Proposal.
- Once Proposal Is Accepted, Collect A Deposit for The Job from The Client and Approve Any Sub-Contractor Proposals
- Assign A Job Number and Give the Signed Contract Along with Any Sub-Contractor Proposals to AP/AR Specialist
- Bring the Sold Estimate into LMN Time
Transition the Project from Design & Sales to Production:
- Provide Production with Plans, Estimate, Material Planner, Job Planner, Sub-Contractor Proposal, Job Material List and any Other Items Relevant to the successful completion of the project
- Supply and Coordinate with the Purchaser the Specifications & Budget of All Items Required for Job Completion along with Timeline
- Work with The Division Manger to Schedule the Job
- Conduct Site Visits to Ensure Design Is Executed as Planned
- Approve Any Payments to Sub-Contractors
- Manage Change Orders and Communicate with Client and All Sub-Contractors
- Conduct A Final Walk-Thru with The Client Upon Completion & Collect Final Payment
- Provide Production with Punch List When Applicable
- Communicate the Schedule and Timeline to The Client Once It Has Been Established
- Engage in Continual Communication with The Client from Conceptual Plan to Installation
- Interface with Clients and Ensure All Concerns Are Addressed in A Timely and Professional Manner
- Make Client Aware of Any Changes in Design or Timeline Immediately
Marketing & Advertising:
- Monitor Deadlines for All Advertisement Contracts
- Create Advertising Material and Keep A Record of All Ads That Are Published
- Assist in Creating Company Logos for Uniforms, Advertising, And Marketing Purposes
Training & Networking:
- Attend Professional and Trade Related Events and Training Programs as Required to Develop Skills
- Maintain Working Relationships Within the Industry
- Represent the Company in A Courteous and Professional Manner

Minimum Qualifications and Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Landscape Architecture
- Minimum of three years design experience in the Green Industry
- Knowledge and proficiency of the Spanish language will be considered as an asset
- Hand graphic skills
- Proficiency in the following Software/Technology:
- Vectorworks / AutoCAD
- Sketchup / 3D modeling
- The company's budgeting, estimating and electronic timekeeping software
- Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
