Job summary

Unknown Residential Landscape Firm seeks an experienced Design-Build Project Manager to oversee residential landscape projects from concept to closeout. You will guide design development, estimation, scheduling, budgeting, and construction while ensuring an exceptional client experience.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience in high-end residential landscape or outdoor construction and excels at balancing client relationships with field operations.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience managing residential landscape, design-build, or residential construction projects.
  • Experience overseeing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong understanding of residential construction methods and project sequencing.
  • Experience leading installation crews and coordinating subcontractors.
  • Ability to read and interpret landscape plans and construction drawings.
  • Strong estimating, budgeting, scheduling, and cost management skills.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with project management or estimating software is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Meet with prospective clients to understand project goals, scope, budget, and vision.
  • Develop conceptual landscape solutions and guide clients through the design process.
  • Prepare project estimates, proposals, and contracts.
  • Coordinate project scheduling with internal teams following project approval.
  • Manage multiple residential landscape construction projects from pre-construction through completion.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and production timelines.
  • Coordinate permits, inspections, and required project documentation.
  • Procure materials and coordinate deliveries with vendors and suppliers.
  • Manage installation crews, subcontractors, and field operations.
  • Conduct routine jobsite visits to ensure quality, safety, and adherence to project plans.
  • Resolve field issues, manage change orders, and maintain project profitability.
  • Provide clients with regular project updates and serve as the primary point of contact throughout construction.
  • Complete project closeout, final walkthroughs, punch lists, and client handoff.
  • Partner closely with design, estimating, operations, and field teams to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and communicate project status, budgets, and schedules to leadership.

Position Summary

The Design-Build Project Manager oversees residential landscape projects from initial client consultation through construction completion and project closeout. This client-facing role is responsible for guiding projects through design development, estimating, scheduling, budgeting, and construction while ensuring an exceptional customer experience throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Client & Pre-Construction

  • Meet with prospective clients to understand project goals, scope, budget, and vision.
  • Develop conceptual landscape solutions and guide clients through the design process.
