Smith Lawnscapes LLC is seeking a dependable Landscape Crew Leader to join our family-oriented team in the Lansing area. You will lead a small crew, oversee daily landscape tasks, and ensure quality work and safety standards on varied outdoor projects.

Qualifications

• Experience in landscape construction and maintenance.

Responsibilities

Smith Lawnscapes LLC, a family-oriented landscape construction and maintenance company, is seeking a dependable Landscape Crew Leader to join our dedicated team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and train a landscape crew of 2+ crew members
• Coordinate and perform daily tasks that include planting, mulching, pruning, edging, stone work and more
• Ensure projects meets company quality and safety standards
• Communicate professionally with customers
• Track job progress and report completion, delays, or concerns
• Safely operate landscape tools and equipment
• Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
• Participate in snow removal operations during the winter

Qualifications

• Landscaping experience
• Leadership experience preferred
• Knowledge of landscape maintenance and installation practices
• Ability to operate landscape equipment safely
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• CDL desired, Chauffeur's License a must
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs., bend, kneel, & perform physical labor
• Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work in various weather conditions
• Strong communication, time management, and teamwork skills

Working Conditions

Fast paced environment, outdoors in various conditions including heat, humidity, rain, dust, noise, and cold. Some weekends may be required.
