Role Description

The Landscape Construction Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Northfield, NJ. This role oversees day-to-day field operations for landscape construction projects, including coordinating crews, scheduling work, and ensuring project milestones are met. Responsibilities include supervising installation of landscape design, hardscapes, lighting and irrigation, managing materials and equipment, monitoring jobsite safety, and maintaining quality standards. The Landscape Construction Manager will track project progress, support budget management, communicate with clients and subcontractors, and resolve issues that arise in the field. This role also involves reviewing plans and specifications, preparing reports, and supporting continuous improvement of construction processes.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Supervisory Skills, including team leadership, crew coordination, and performance management.
• Candidates should possess Construction and Construction Safety skills, with experience in landscape construction methods, site work, and adherence to safety regulations.
• Candidates should possess Budgeting and Project Control skills, including cost tracking, schedule management, and resource planning.
• Candidates should possess working knowledge of software applications used within the industry (LMN, BOSS, Aspire, or others.)
• Relevant experience in landscape construction management or a related construction field is beneficial.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and site plans.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collaborate with clients, vendors, and team members.
• Proficiency with basic construction management software and tools is an advantage.
• A valid driver's license and ability to work on-site in varying weather conditions.
• Education in construction management, horticulture, landscape maintenance, or a related field is preferred but not required, depending on experience.
