Job description

Leads a team in site work development and installation of hardscape, landscape, landscape lighting, and irrigation systems.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Site work preparation to include excavation, grading, drainage, and utilities installation.
• Hardscape construction to include walls, walkways, steps, terraces, fireplaces, outdoor kitchens, water features, driveways, etc.
• Landscape installation to include planting, lawn installation, low-voltage landscape lighting, and irrigation systems.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Thorough understanding of plant species identification and knowledge of plant varieties.
• Thorough understanding of machine operation, including skid steer, mini-excavator, and larger machinery.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Able to communicate effectively with sub-contractors, clients, architects, and management.
• Organizational skills are required, as the foreman is responsible for filling out and keeping track of daily foreman logs, job sheets, and timecards.
• Ability to keep crews on task and manage production while maintaining a high level of quality work is essential.

Education and Experience/Licenses:

• High school diploma or equivalent and 5 years of experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Hoisting License 2A/1C.
• DOT Certificate (acquired within one month after date of hire).

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to physically operate landscape machines and equipment.
• Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and stand.
• Must be able to work in all types of weather, including extremely hot and extremely cold temperatures.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.
