Job summary

Oakridge Landscape, Inc. is seeking an Estimator in Valencia, CA to support our Estimating Department. This full-time, in-person role focuses on reviewing plans, preparing takeoffs, and coordinating with vendors to develop bid proposals.

Requirements include 2–5 years in construction, proficiency with reading drawings, and strong communication skills. Proficiency in On-Screen Takeoff and MS Word/Excel is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 2–5 years of experience in construction or related field.
• Proficient at reading and understanding construction drawings.
• Ability to gather, calculate and compile takeoff data for bids.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Review plans, general conditions, schedules and scopes of work.
• Prepare organized and complete takeoffs.
• Request and obtain quotes from vendors and subs.
• Enter takeoff data into estimating software.
• Analyze alternatives for value engineering.
• Draft proposal documents.
