Job summary

IMEG is offering a Summer 2027 Landscape Architecture Internship in Boston, MA for 10-12 weeks. You will assist with landscape design and deliverables as part of a land development team, including exhibits, renderings, planting plans, and site visits.

This paid internship provides mentorship, real project work, and a path to potential full-time opportunities within an ESOP-owned firm.

Qualifications

• Completed at least 2 years towards a Bachelor Degree in Landscape Architecture (BLA), or equivalent required
• Good graphic and written/verbal communication skills
• Strong organization and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Assist with exhibits, presentation graphics, and renderings.
• Assist with landscape and planting plans and tree preservation plans.
• Assist with research, calculations, and data entry for associated plans and reports.

IMEG is hiring a Landscape Architecture Intern in Boston, MA. Over 10-12 weeks, you’ll assist with landscape architecture design solutions and prepare technical deliverables as part of a collaborative land development team. This internship is intended to provide practical project working experience through real project support.In this role, you’ll support exhibits, renderings, planting plans, tree preservation plans, research, and site visits while collaborating with landscape designers, landscape architects, and other land development professionals. You’ll also help the team meet project goals and client expectations while working within project budgets across transportation, planning, and landscape architecture work.

What You’ll Do

What You’ll Bring (Required)

Education

• Completed at least 2 years towards a Bachelor Degree in Landscape Architecture (BLA), or equivalent required

Required Skills/Abilities

• Good graphic skills, and good written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

• Recurring services include planning (LA), landscape architecture, civil, survey, and arborist support.
• Recent work includes City of Fairfax City Hall Landscape Improvements - Phase 2, Government (City/County/State), and CloudHQ MCC 8 & 9 Rezoning Application, Data Center/Mission Critical.

State of Massachusetts Pay Range: $22.00-$25.00 per hour

The range listed above represents the base pay IMEG reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position in the work location identified above at the time of posting. For positions available in multiple locations, the minimums and maximums may vary based on work location. Individual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, abilities, and licensure and certifications.
