Job description

Salary: $100,000–$135,000, depending on experience

An established multidisciplinary practice in southeastern Pennsylvania is looking for a Licensed Landscape Architect to join its team. Working alongside civil engineers, planners and surveyors, you’ll take responsibility for landscape and land development projects while supporting junior staff.

The practice works across residential and mixed‑use developments, educational campuses, healthcare, municipal and recreational projects. Its landscape portfolio includes parks, trails, streetscapes, gardens and open spaces, offering a varied mix of design and technical work.

The role

You’ll combine hands‑on landscape design with project management, team mentoring and coordination with the engineering team. Experience navigating municipal submissions and permitting will be particularly valuable, alongside the confidence to present projects and respond to planning commission questions.

Key responsibilities
  • Manage landscape architecture projects from concept design through documentation and approvals.
  • Develop and review site layouts, planting plans, hardscape details and construction documents.
  • Coordinate with civil engineers, planners and surveyors to deliver integrated site designs.
  • Prepare municipal submissions and manage responses to permit and planning review comments.
  • Attend planning commission meetings, present proposals and answer questions from reviewing authorities.
  • Manage project schedules, deliverables and client communication.
  • Mentor junior staff and review drawings for quality and accuracy.
  • Prepare presentation materials and 3D visualizations to communicate design proposals.
What we’re looking for
  • Professional licensure as a Landscape Architect.
  • A degree in Landscape Architecture.
  • Experience in landscape architecture and land development, ideally within a multidisciplinary practice.
  • Strong knowledge of municipal submissions, permitting and construction documentation.
  • Experience managing projects and mentoring junior staff.
  • Confidence communicating with clients, consultants and municipal reviewers.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and experience with CAD and 3D rendering tools.

This is an opportunity to take ownership of varied projects within an established practice with longstanding client relationships. You’ll work closely with other disciplines, contribute to the development of junior staff and remain involved in both design and project delivery.
