Job summary

Planet Group is seeking a Landscape Architect to spearhead planning and design for communities, parks, and streetscapes, acting as both project manager and contributor. The role requires leading design reviews and engaging in public or private presentations, with travel as needed.

Qualified candidates hold a landscape architecture degree, licensure, and 5–8 years of relevant experience, including complex project management and collaboration across teams. Hybrid work options are available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s in landscape architecture from an accredited University or College.
• 5-8 years of professional experience as a Landscape Architect including planning and design of communities, parks, streetscapes, and similar projects.
• Registration as a Landscape Architect is required.
• Ability to lead presentations in public and private settings; design review/approval process experience desired.
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Adobe Design Suite, and Microsoft Office programs.
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects; strong teamwork.
• Some travel may be required to meet project deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Master planning through detailed design activities as both a project manager and contributor.
• Mentoring and technical oversight of junior and mid-level staff.
• Business development activities including networking, proposals, interviewing, and fee negotiations.
• Preparation and review of deliverables such as reports, cost estimates, renderings, plans and specs.
• Support the project team with miscellaneous tasks and committee involvement.

Job description

A Landscape Architect responsible for the planning and design of communities, parks, streetscapes, and other similar project types. Master planning through detailed design activities as both a project manager and project contributor.

Required:

• Bachelor's or master's in landscape architecture from an accredited University or College.
• 5-8 years of professional experience as a Landscape Architect including experience with planning and design of communities, parks, streetscapes, and other similar project types.
• Registration as a Landscape Architect is required.
• Ability to lead presentations in both public and private settings. Experience with leading projects through a design review, entitlement or other similar public approval process is highly desired.
• Demonstrated experience with industry software applications (AutoCAD Civil 3D, Adobe Design Suite, and all Microsoft Office programs).
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects.
• Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team.
• Some travel will be required to undertake the job duties described above. Travel may be planned or on an immediate basis and the candidate will need to be flexible in meeting project deadlines.
• Land and site planning design experience highly preferred
• Excellent writing, communication, and organizational skills; aptitude for detail.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Serves on Committees and Teams as requested by management.
• Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Pay: $80K - $90K
