The role involves reviewing coding for approvals, problem-solving, and collaboration across various disciplines like Accounting and Drilling. This position offers a 6-month contract-to-hire with benefits and a 401K.

Qualifications

Job description

Overview

The position will assist the land department in preparation of contracts, JOA’s, oil and gas leases, assignments, and other applicable documents. This role will review invoices, code to appropriate AFE and circulate for approvals, troubleshoot and solve problems related to invoices and coding. They will respond to partner submittals and work across company disciplines including Land, Accounting, Drilling, Geology and Operations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complex and routine correspondence for others’ signature.
• Assist Landmen in preparation of more complex contracts, JOA’s, SUA’s, ROW’s, PSA’s, oil and gas leases, assignments, and other applicable documents.
• Review invoices, code to appropriate AFE and circulate for approvals, troubleshoot and solve problems related to invoices and coding.
• Prepare and submit proposal letters to partners on well drilling, workover, completions, etc.
• Respond to partner submittals.
• Work across company disciplines including Land, Accounting, Drilling, Geology and Operations

Qualifications

• Minimum three (3) years of industry experience in land or related field.
• At least three (3) years of experience in Microsoft Office (i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Basic knowledge of Oil and Gas practices and policies and can apply that knowledge to the work.
• Experience working within Land systems and applications such as: SAP, LandView, I-Landman.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Demonstrated integrity in dealing with coworkers.
• Strong attention to detail and flexible regarding workload and priorities.
• Basic research skills with regard to reviewing multiple data sources to find specific information.
• Proven ability to discern work in need of escalation.
