Job description

Landlord/Tenant Litigation Group

This position is focused on substantial, complex, and often lengthy litigation matters involving landlord/tenant and real estate disputes. Unlike a traditional eviction-focused practice, this role will involve significant litigation requiring strong case management, legal analysis, discovery, motion practice, depositions, negotiations, and courtroom advocacy. Attorneys with a plaintiff-side or defense-side Personal Injury (PI) litigation background may be particularly well suited for this position due to the substantial litigation experience and ability to manage cases through lengthy dispute-resolution processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a substantial caseload of landlord/tenant and real estate litigation matters from inception through resolution.
  • Handle complex and lengthy disputes involving landlords, tenants, property owners, and related parties.

  • Manage cases efficiently while maintaining attention to detail and deadlines.
  • Communicate regularly with clients regarding case status, strategy, exposure, and anticipated outcomes.

  • Business litigation
  • Commercial litigation
  • Personal injury litigation

Important Distinction

This is not primarily an eviction attorney position. While the practice involves landlord/tenant matters, the successful candidate will spend the majority of their time handling more substantial and complex litigation, including matters that may require extended discovery, motion practice, depositions, mediation, and trial preparation.
