Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school is required.
  • Active license and good standing with the applicable state bar.
  • Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience.
  • Experience independently managing cases through all phases of litigation.
  • Strong motion practice, depositions, hearings, and mediations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a litigation caseload from initial filing through settlement, trial, or appeal.
  • Develop and execute litigation strategies to achieve favorable outcomes.
  • Draft and argue pleadings, motions, briefs, and other documents.
  • Conduct and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.
  • Represent clients in hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and court proceedings.
  • Oversee discovery, including written discovery, document review, and production.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategy.
  • Assess liability, damages, and settlements throughout the case lifecycle.
  • Negotiate favorable resolutions and settlements for clients.
  • Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and outside experts for case management.
  • Maintain client communication regarding case developments and expectations.

Connect Search is partnering with a respected law firm to identify an experienced Litigation Attorney to join its growing team. This position offers the opportunity to manage a diverse caseload from inception through resolution while working alongside a collaborative group of legal professionals dedicated to delivering exceptional client service.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced litigator who can independently handle all phases of the litigation process, including case strategy, pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, mediations, hearings, and trial preparation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a litigation caseload from initial filing through settlement, trial, or appeal.
  • Develop and execute effective litigation strategies designed to achieve successful client outcomes.
  • Draft and argue pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
  • Conduct and defend depositions involving parties, witnesses, and subject matter experts.
  • Represent clients in hearings, mediations, arbitrations, settlement conferences, and court proceedings.
  • Oversee all aspects of discovery, including written discovery, document review, and production.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategy.
  • Assess liability, damages, litigation risks, and settlement opportunities throughout the life of a case.
  • Negotiate favorable resolutions and settlements on behalf of clients.
  • Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, legal assistants, and outside experts to ensure effective case management.
  • Maintain consistent communication with clients regarding case developments, strategy, and expectations.
  • Ensure compliance with court deadlines, procedural requirements, and professional obligations.
Qualifications
Required
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Active license and good standing with the applicable state bar.
  • Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience.
  • Experience independently managing cases throughout the litigation lifecycle.
  • Strong experience with motion practice, depositions, hearings, and mediations.
  • Exceptional legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred
  • Trial preparation and courtroom experience.
  • Experience handling complex or high-exposure litigation matters.
  • Background in personal injury, insurance defense, employment law, premises liability, medical malpractice, family law, probate litigation, or general civil litigation.
  • Familiarity with legal technology and case management platforms.
  • Demonstrated success negotiating settlements and resolving disputes efficiently.
