Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and 1 year related experience or equivalent
• 1+ years of experience removing and restoring aircraft assemblies
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals and blueprints
• Familiarity with FAA regulations and Part 145 repair station requirements
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, clean and inspect landing gear components for wear, corrosion, or damage
• Utilize knowledge of aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting/repair procedures and replacement of components
• Perform polishing, honing, and/or plating of landing gear parts using specialized tools and equipment
• Measure components with micrometers, calipers, and other precision tools to verify specifications
• Assist in troubleshooting component issues and recommend repair or replacement
• Accurately complete all required paperwork including inspection records, work orders, and traceability logs
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

GA Telesis MRO Services Component Repair Group is committed to providing the most comprehensive aircraft maintenance, repair, overhaul, and logistic support services to the commercial rotor and fixed-wing aircraft markets. We are seeking an experienced Landing Gear Technician to join our award-winning team in Miami, FL with a focus on the building and tear-down of various landing gears and components. Reporting to the VP of Landing Gear Operations, the ideal candidate will use their experience and knowledge to perform high-quality alterations.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, clean and inspect landing gear components for wear, corrosion, or damage
• Utilize knowledge of aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting/repair procedures and replacement of components
• Perform polishing, honing, and/or plating of various landing gear parts, including cylinders, pistons, and bushings, using specialized tools and equipment
• Measure components using micrometers, calipers, and other precision tools to verify compliance with specifications
• Assist in troubleshooting component issues and recommend repair or replacement
• Accurately complete all required paperwork including inspection records, work orders, and traceability logs
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
