Job summary

A leading aviation solutions provider is seeking a 2nd Shift Landing Gear Technician in Miami, FL. The technician will be responsible for disassembling, cleaning, and inspecting landing gear components. Ideal candidates should hold a high school diploma or equivalent with at least 1 year of relevant experience, and must have knowledge of FAA regulations. This role requires physical capability including lifting up to 50 lbs. The work hours are from 2 PM to 10:30 PM, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent and 1 year of related experience.
• 1+ years of experience with aircraft assemblies.
• Familiarity with FAA regulations is preferred.
• Familiarity with FAA regulations and Part 145 repair station requirements.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, clean, and inspect landing gear components.
• Utilize troubleshooting procedures for component repair.
• Measure components to verify compliance with specifications.
• Measure components using micrometers, calipers, and other precision tools to verify compliance with specifications.
• Assist in troubleshooting component issues and recommend repair or replacement.
• Accurately complete all required paperwork including inspection records, work orders, and traceability logs.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Position Overview

2nd Shift Landing Gear Technician, Miami, FL. 2nd Shift Hours are 2 PM–10:30 PM, Monday–Friday.

Eligibility

• Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. The company does not provide visa sponsorship or accept candidates requiring sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, clean and inspect landing gear components for wear, corrosion, or damage
• Utilize knowledge of aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting/repair procedures and replacement of components
• Perform polishing, honing, and/or plating of various landing gear parts, including cylinders, pistons, and bushings, using specialized tools and equipment
• Measure components using micrometers, calipers, and other precision tools to verify compliance with specifications
• Assist in troubleshooting component issues and recommend repair or replacement
• Accurately complete all required paperwork including inspection records, work orders, and traceability logs
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

Qualifications

• Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent and 1 year of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• 1+ years of experience removing and restoring aircraft assemblies
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and blueprints
• Familiarity with FAA regulations and Part 145 repair station requirements
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
