Job summary

GA Telesis MRO Services Component Repair Group in Miami, FL seeks an experienced Landing Gear Technician to join our award-winning team focused on the building and tear-down of landing gears and components. Reporting to the VP of Landing Gear Operations, you will apply your expertise to perform high-quality alterations.

Responsibilities include disassembly, inspection, and documentation, with emphasis on precision measurements and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent. One year of related experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and blueprints.
  • Familiarity with FAA regulations and Part 145 repair station requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Disassemble, clean and inspect landing gear components for wear, corrosion, or damage.
  • Utilize knowledge of aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting/repair procedures and replacement of components.
  • Perform polishing, honing, and/or plating of various landing gear parts using specialized tools and equipment.
  • Measure components using micrometers, calipers, and other precision tools to verify specifications.
  • Assist in troubleshooting component issues and recommend repair or replacement.
  • Accurately complete all required paperwork including inspection records, work orders, and traceability logs.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
