Polk County BoCC is seeking a Landfill Maintenance Technician at the Polk County Landfill in Winter Haven, FL. The role focuses on general maintenance, repair of LMS and gas systems, and preventive maintenance of on-site diesel/gasoline equipment.

Candidates should have a high school diploma and 3 years of maintenance experience or equivalent training. Good troubleshooting and safety practices are essential for working on complex landfill infrastructure.

Formación

• Graduate of an accredited high school or equivalent.
• Three years maintenance experience or vocational training.
• Valid driver's license or ability to obtain Florida license.

Responsabilidades

• Perform general maintenance and repair of LMS and landfill gas systems.
• Maintain and repair diesel/gasoline powered equipment and vehicles.
• Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical equipment; perform preventive maintenance.
• Record LMS data and maintain maintenance logs.
• Use SCADA for operation and troubleshooting; coordinate with contractors as needed.
