Job summary

Archuleta County in Pagosa Springs is seeking a hands-on Facilities/Operations Worker to support the landfill, Transfer Station and Recycling facilities. You will operate light and heavy equipment, receive the public, process payments, monitor waste, and direct traffic while helping keep sites safe and clean.

This role requires a Colorado Class B CDL with a current DOT medical card, and at least a high school diploma with one year of related work.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience: 1 year in related duties preferred.
• Licenses: Colorado Class B CDL with DOT medical card required.

Responsibilities

• Operate light and heavy equipment at the landfill, transfer station and recycling facilities.
• Receive the public, collect payments, and direct traffic as needed.
• Maintain logs, deposits, and daily/monthly summaries.
• Ensure compliance with solid waste rules and safety procedures.
• Perform basic equipment checks and routine maintenance.
