Job summary

Harnden Group, LLC, based in Harrisburg, PA, seeks an Estimator for landfill construction projects across PA, MD, DE, NJ and VA. Prepare estimates from >$1M to $50M scopes, coordinate with bidders, and support the estimating team.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of estimating experience in civil/site construction, familiarity with earthwork and utilities, and be prepared to pass background checks and drug testing. in-person work location in Harrisburg.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3–5 years of estimating experience in civil/site construction, with landfill projects preferred.
• A two- or four-year degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field is preferred; prior industry experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Prepare comprehensive estimates for landfill-related projects including earthwork, utilities, and land­fill features.
• Review drawings and specifications; perform quantity takeoffs and cost estimates.
• Identify subcontractors and materials suppliers to gather competitive quotes; develop schedules and crew/equipment setups.
• Build and maintain relationships with contractors and vendors; document bid submissions.
