Job summary

Waste Management is seeking a senior operations leader to manage daily landfill activities, ensuring safety, environmental compliance, and efficient operations. You will coordinate construction, permitting, and gas/leachate management while driving cost efficiency and productivity.

The role requires strong leadership, budgeting expertise, and the ability to train and coach staff, with a focus on maintaining WM's safety and compliance standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree (accredited) or in lieu of degree.
• High School Diploma or GED with at least 4 years relevant work experience.
• 7 years of relevant work experience in addition to the education requirement.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day landfill operations ensuring safety and compliance.
• Coordinate construction, permitting, and leachate/gas management.
• Minimize costs while maximizing productivity and maintaining environmental standards.
• Monitor truck turnaround times and waste volume/weight data.
• Lead and develop department staff including coaching and training.
