Job summary

WM is seeking a Landfill Gas Technician I to operate and maintain GCCS at a site in Milwaukee, ensuring regulatory compliance and safe, efficient gas collection.

You will calibrate data-collection devices, manage wellfield data, and perform routine maintenance on pumps, valves, and piping while adhering to safety rules. On-call availability and completion of the WM GCCS Technician I Training are required.

Qualifications

• No experience required
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain GCCS to ensure regulatory compliance and optimize performance.
• Calibrate, operate and maintain data collection devices for LFG extraction.
• Collect and manage data from wellfield and monitoring locations.
• Implement the GCCS preventative maintenance plan.
• Operate liquid management pumps and monitor liquid levels.
• Adjust valves and interpret data.
• Use PVC/HDPE piping materials in maintenance work.
• Complete the WM Landfill Gas Technician I Training.
• Develop understanding of environmental regulations related to GCCS operations.
• Follow health and safety requirements; on-call response for GCCS malfunctions.
