Job summary

Klickitat-Public-Utility-District is seeking a Landfill Gas Field Technician to monitor, tune, and troubleshoot the landfill gas collection system in coordination with the LFG Field Tech Lead and other O&M staff. The role includes maintaining monitoring equipment, ensuring safety compliance, and providing backup support as needed.

Qualified candidates will have 2+ years in a group work setting, strong communication skills, and a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficiency in standard office applications is helpful.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
• First Aid/CPR certification or ability to obtain within six months.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, tune, adjust, and optimize the landfill gas collection system.
• Maintain well field gas monitoring equipment and associated software.
• Assist in purchasing, receiving, and inventory control of well field components.
• Provide emergency shift coverage and assist during maintenance shutdowns.
• Work safely at all times in compliance with state, federal, and PUD requirements.
• Train and qualify as an LFG Plant Auxiliary Operator when needed.
