Job summary

Kimley-Horn's Orlando, Florida office is seeking planning students to join our team in an on-site internship. This role offers hands-on experience with pre-construction planning, analysis, and permitting for diverse projects, while collaborating with project managers and multidisciplinary teams to shape our clients' visions for the built environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Planning degree (Bachelor's or Master's) from an accredited program.
• Majors include City and Regional Planning, Urban Planning, Transportation Planning, or related.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to pre-construction planning, modification, permitting, and analysis for multiple projects.
• Solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines to realize clients’ visions for the built environment.
• Develop familiarity with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Kimley-Horn’s practices and standards.
• Evaluate development proposals to identify zoning compliance.
• Prepare planning and land use studies.
• Coordinate with municipal and state agencies.
