Job summary

ISG in Cleveland, OH is seeking a Land Surveyor to transform raw data into precise maps and boundary records, supporting Public Works, Water, Commercial, and other units with advanced equipment.

You will join the Geospatial team to deliver survey services nationwide, work on proposals, fieldwork, data analysis, and coordination with design teams, with opportunities for growth and ownership benefits.

Qualifications

• Formal education in surveying or GIS with eagerness to learn.
• Must be licensed as a PLS or eligible for licensure within 6 months.
• Familiarity with survey hardware and software including Trimble, Leica, Topcon.
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D; strong communication and organizational skills.
• Willingness to travel and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation of proposals and estimate project costs; communicate with clients.
• Perform fieldwork, drafting, record research, data analysis, and land descriptions.
• Oversee collection of quality survey data for maps, reports, and descriptions.
• Establish legal boundaries for properties from field data and records.
• Prepare charts, plots, maps, and other surveying documents.
• Coordinate survey findings with design team members.
• Oversee survey equipment operation and maintenance; train others when possible.
• Prepare field drawings and documentation per standards.
• Communicate professionally with team, stakeholders and clients.
• Be a team player and accountable to the group.
