Job summary

Civil Design, Inc. (CDI) is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern to support our Building Stronger Communities mission through Site, Transportation, Structures and Water Resources projects.

The internship offers hands-on field and office exposure, collaboration with experienced professionals, and real project contributions across CDI's six service lines. Qualifications

• 30–40 hours per week with start time around 6–7 am.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and have a good driving record.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Work in outdoor elements.
• Be a part of a team.
• Communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Perform boundary surveys to establish property lines.
• Perform topographic surveys for contours and features.
• May perform construction surveys for municipal, private and roadway projects.
• Operate Trimble robotic, conventional and GPS equipment and Leica 3D scanning tools.
• Import field data daily and maintain field notes.
• Support safety policies and CDI requirements.
• Assist with general equipment maintenance.
• Travel 10–15%.
• Pursuing a degree in surveying, geography or survey drafting is great.
