Civil Design Inc in Kentucky is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern to support surveying for design projects. You will perform boundary and topographic surveys, collect data with Trimble and Leica equipment, and keep precise field notes while assisting with various design tasks.
The internship offers hands-on experience across Site, Transportation, Structures and Water Resources, with an emphasis on learning and collaboration. 30–40 hours weekly, start around 6–7 am, and travel up to 15%.

We are looking for a Civil Engineering Intern to support our CDI mission in Building Stronger Communities through one of our engineering services of Site, Transportation, Structures and Water Resources. This internship would support our service lines by contributing to projects and engaging with the team and supporting our mission of developing a better tomorrow.

Under supervision, the intern will assist in surveying to support a variety of design projects.
Work is generally performed in the outside on various job sites. May be exposed to all kinds of weather conditions including extreme temperatures, rain, snow, high winds, humidity, and dusty conditions. Physical activity is required including walking, standing, carrying equipment, stooping, kneeling, and bending. May be exposed to site conditions including exhaust fumes, dust particles, insects, wildlife, plants, poison ivy, and other environmental elements. Must be able to lift/carry 30lbs in field conditions. Up to 100% of work performed outside.

The anticipated base hourly range for this position is $22-24/hr. Compensation will vary based upon relevant experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors.
