Job description

Position Summary

Works under the supervision of a Certified Land Surveyor and Survey Crew Chief and maintains responsibility for obtaining and computing data relevant to measuring the lands features for company projects. This position works diligently to collect field data to report back to the Land Surveyor.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Sets up, adjusts, and operates the equipment used at surveying job sites.
  • Measures, records and calculates data based on readings from surveying instruments.
  • Lies out and recovers markings, stakes, and other such signifiers at work locations.
  • Communicate with the management team, regulatory agencies, and clients regarding land surveying schedules, activities, and results, as necessary.
  • Prepares and submits progress reports as requested.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment, working outside
