Job summary

Bell & Associates, Inc. seeks an experienced Licensed Land Surveyor to lead boundary and topographic projects in Hartford, CT. You will supervise field crews, coordinate with clients, and prepare plans and proposals in collaboration with senior leadership.

The ideal candidate holds an active LS license (MA/CT/RI preferred) with 5+ years of supervisory and Civil 3D experience, and is willing to perform fieldwork in varying conditions.

Qualifications

• Licensed Land Surveyor; MA, CT, or RI preferred but open to anywhere.
• Associate’s degree in Land Surveying or related field required; bachelor’s preferred.
• 5+ years of supervisory experience.
• 4+ years of Civil 3D experience within land surveying.
• Strong understanding of field survey methods and procedures.
• Strong leadership, client coordination, organizational, and communication skills.
• Willing and able to periodically perform fieldwork in varying terrain and weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Partner with senior surveying leadership to prepare boundary and topographic surveys, easements, subdivision plans, and project proposals.
• Perform boundary computations, land record research, and process field survey data.
• Create topographic maps utilizing TIN surfaces.
• Assist with field crew supervision, scheduling, and project coordination.
• Periodically serve as Crew Chief when needed.
• Ensure compliance with company standards and quality-control procedures.
• Train and mentor surveying staff on proper methods, practices, and quality standards.
