Job summary

Langan Engineering & Environmental Services in New Haven, CT, invites a Senior Project Manager – Land Surveying to lead its survey department. You will oversee staff, guide project execution, and explore new client opportunities in a technologically progressive environment.

The role emphasizes managing multiple projects, budgets, and client relations while advancing surveying practices using Civil 3D/Carlson and field equipment. Hybrid client-facing leadership offered.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of surveying experience in field and office.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Carlson software.
• State Survey license or ability to obtain one.
• Experience with proposal preparation and job estimates.
• Ability to perform complex boundary analysis and QA/QC of deliverables.
• Strong project management skills and ability to manage staff and budgets.
• Willingness to travel to field sites as needed.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of strategies to meet client objectives and manage multiple projects.
• Prepare field data for work, schedule crews, and perform QA/QC.
• Prepare survey plans, reports, and CAD deliverables.
• Perform complex analyses for portions of surveys.
• Interpret findings and ensure data collection is timely and on budget.
• Train staff and implement new software and technologies.
• Plan budgets and prepare progress reports and billings.
• Mentor staff and maintain client relationships.
• Assist in business development and proposals.
• Participate in client and regulatory meetings.
