Job summary

Dewberry is seeking an experienced Land Survey Technician in the Richmond, VA area to join our Land Surveying department and support the Mid-Atlantic territory. You will work as part of a survey crew on boundary, ALTA, topographic, and other surveys using advanced equipment, with potential to supervise the crew or work independently as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of survey experience.
• Good mathematical skills are required.
• Proficient with data collection and computers.
• Experience with Topcon and Trimble equipment is preferred.
• Carlson SurvCE and Trimble Survey Controller software knowledge is desired.

Responsibilities

• Assist the field supervisor with daily crew workload.
• Work safely and follow all safety regulations.
• Supervise crew in the absence of the crew chief.
• Work independently as needed.
• Daily uploading and downloading of data collectors.
• Daily care and charging of instrumentation.
• Continually advance knowledge with upgrades in technology.
