Job summary

CES Group Engineers, LLP in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Professional Land Surveyor to serve as a Project Manager. The candidate will oversee scheduling, scope, and budgets, stamp final survey plans, and lead field survey crews across boundary, ALTA, topographic, and construction surveying projects.

Requirements include a PLS license in NC/SC and 5+ years of surveying experience, with proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D or Carlson Survey. Strong communication skills and travel as needed are expected.

Qualifications

• Five or more years in land surveying with proficiency in field surveying techniques and survey office practices.
• Licensed Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) in NC and/or SC.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Carlson Survey; experience with Trimble Business Center and MicroStation is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills; ability to interface with coworkers, management, and clients.

Responsibilities

• Provide project management and oversee scheduling, scope, and budgets for quality and timely deliverables.
• Provide legal certification with review, stamp, and certify final survey plans, maps, and documents.
• Direct daily activities of field survey crews and manage resources and budgets for multiple projects.
• Provide team leadership and coordinate field and office surveying practices.
• Quality control review of field survey data and preparation of survey documentation and drawings.
• Interact with clients and travel to client or project sites as needed.
• Coordinate and collaborate with others to get the work done.
