Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Land Surveyor to join the Survey & Mapping team in West Chester or Philadelphia, PA. In this role, you will prepare accurate, complete survey work products that meet clients’ goals and support boundary surveys, ALTA/Record Maps as needed.

You will supervise field crews, sign and seal documents when authorized, and collaborate with clients to identify opportunities while delivering high-quality surveying services with GPS/GNSS and conventional techniques.

Qualifications

• Licensed in Land Surveying or equivalent licensure in Pennsylvania.
• 6+ years of Land Survey experience.
• Position will primarily work in an office setting; may require some field work.

Responsibilities

• Sign and seal survey documents.
• Plans, schedules, conducts, and coordinates the technical aspects of projects. May manage survey projects.
• Engages regularly with clients to discuss current projects, evaluate firm performance, and identify other business opportunities.
• Serves as the leader on the team. Coordinates activities of field crews, including providing job assignments, information, direction, and daily checking of work product.
• Assists with business development, proposal preparation, project management, and final review for all surveys prepared (QA/QC).
• Performs other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.
