Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Land Surveyor to join the Survey & Mapping team in Fairfax, VA or Laurel, MD. You will prepare accurate survey work products, utilize GPS/GNSS and conventional methods, and sign and seal your work as a registered professional land surveyor.

You will supervise field crews, resolve complex problems, and contribute to project delivery and client relations in a fast-paced office/field setting.

Qualifications

• Licensed in Land Surveying for MD/VA or equivalent licensure.
• 0 6+ years of Land Survey experience.
• Position may involve office work with some field activities.

Responsibilities

• Sign and seal survey documents.
• Plans, schedules, conducts, and coordinates the technical aspects of projects; may manage survey projects.
• Engages with clients to discuss projects and identify opportunities.
• Lead the team; coordinate field crews and review work product.
• Assist with business development, proposals, project management, and QA/QC.
