Job summary

Stantec is seeking a licensed Land Surveyor to join the Survey & Mapping team in Fairfax, VA (or Laurel, MD). You will prepare accurate survey work products, supervise field crews, and sign/seal documents as required. The role demands independent work and leadership on complex projects.

Qualifications include Virginia or Maryland licensure and 6+ years of land survey experience, with proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, GPS/GNSS, and robotic total stations. Office-based with some fieldwork.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of Land Survey experience.
• Ability to sign and seal survey documents; supervise field crews.

Responsibilities

• Sign and seal survey documents.
• Plan, schedule, conduct and coordinate technical aspects of projects; may manage survey projects.
• Engage with clients to discuss projects and identify new business opportunities.
• Lead team on projects; coordinate field crews and ensure quality of work products.
• Assist with business development, proposals, project management, and QA/QC of surveys.
