Job summary

Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. in Monroeville, PA is seeking a Land Survey Intern to join our field crew. You will assist with topographic and boundary surveys and construction stakeouts using modern surveying equipment.

The internship offers hands-on experience, mentoring, and exposure to AutoCAD or GIS; pursuing an Associate or Bachelor in Survey Engineering or Geomatics is preferred, along with the stamina to work outdoors.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Associates or Bachelors in Survey Engineering, Geomatic Engineering, or other related field preferred
• Possession of sufficient physical stamina to work outdoors under various field conditions
• AutoCAD experience or GIS experience
• Prior internship and/or related survey experience preferred
• Housing assistance is not provided; local candidates preferred

Job description

As a Land Survey Intern for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC), in our Monroeville, PA office, you'll be part of a survey field crew performing work on topographic and boundary surveys, and construction stakeouts. You will perform land survey work through the application of surveying principles and practices and use of modern survey equipment. You will operate instrumentation, clear brush, drive stakes, hold chains or rods, record data, prepare sketches and maintain equipment as needed. Ultimately, this position will provide a foundation for further professional development as a land surveyor. Housing assistance is not provided, therefore local candidates are preferred.

Through the CEC Internship Program, you will
