Job summary

Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) is seeking a Civil Engineer in our Monroeville, PA office to work with project teams on land development plans for private, public, and energy sector clients.

You will design site layouts, grading, stormwater facilities, water quality practices, and utilities through all project phases including regulatory review and construction. As a 100% employee-owned firm, CEC offers mentorship, career growth, and a collaborative environment with hybrid work

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related technical field.
• Previous internship preferred.
• EIT or FE certification preferred.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Willingness to learn new skills and work in a team setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist project teams with site development and land development projects from concept through construction.
• Prepare site layout plans, grading designs, erosion and sediment control plans, stormwater management facilities, and utility designs.
• Support permitting efforts, municipal zoning approvals, and land development applications.
• Develop construction plans and supporting engineering documentation.
• Coordinate with project managers, clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
• Participate in project planning, design, permitting, bidding, and construction support activities.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across engineering, environmental, survey, and construction service disciplines.

As a Civil Engineer for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) in our Monroeville, PA office, you’ll work with project teams to create land development plans for our private, public and energy sector clients. From an urban redevelopment site to a new school project, you’ll take part in designing site layouts, grading plans, storm water management facilities, water quality best management practices, and utilities. Interacting with clients, contractors, local government officials, you’ll impact the whole project - from conceptual and design phases, through the regulatory review process, bidding, construction, and all the way to project completion.
