Job description

UINTAH is seeking a Crew Chief or Land Surveyor to RELOCATE (this is a direct-hire or W2 position; no contract candidates will be considered).

If you are an experienced surveyor, Survey Crew Chief, or Party Chief with a passion for staking and land surveying, we want to hear from you!

Starting pay is based on experience.

Uintah Engineering & Land Surveying (UELS) provides land surveying, drafting, and civil engineering services primarily for the Oil & Gas industries. Our specialties include the layout and design of well locations, roads, pipelines, evaporation ponds, compressor sites, and related facilities. We prepare field maps, APD documents, access permits, stream crossing applications, floodplain studies, structural designs, and detailed plans and specifications. Our surveyors primarily use Trimble GPS surveying equipment. The role involves fieldwork and reporting to the main office.

Responsibilities for Crew Chief / Party Chief / Surveyor:

1. Stake well locations
2. Survey section corners
3. Establish section corners
4. Stake access roads, including slope staking and well pads
5. Stake pipelines and right-of-ways
6. Perform topographic surveys and cross-sectioning

Pre-employment and random drug testing are required. All applicants must have a valid driver's license with an MVR meeting company standards.

Qualifications:

• Junior Crew Chief / Party Chief / Surveyor: 6-12 months of experience as a Survey Assistant or equivalent.
• Senior Crew Chief / Party Chief / Surveyor: Minimum 2 years' experience with Trimble GPS products, boundary staking, corner staking, well location staking, etc.
• Experience in Cadastral Surveying, Oil & Gas, and Construction Staking is preferred.

Schedule:

• 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday

Relocation to Sidney, Montana, is required, with an employer-provided relocation package.
