Job summary

Abonmarche in Hobart, IN is seeking a Survey Crew Chief to lead the daily field survey crew, manage staking operations, and ensure accurate data collection for construction and topographic surveys.

The role requires 5+ years of survey construction layout experience, proficiency with Topcon equipment and magnet field software, and the ability to read plans, work independently, and coordinate a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• In charge of the daily activities of field Survey crew
• In charge of daily crew operations such as construction staking, subdivision staking, boundary and topographic surveys
• Prepares daily field notes on projects
• Performs minor calculations in the field for staking
• Performs daily data uploads and downloads
• Maintains survey equipment and vehicles
• Provide direction to survey technicians
• Perform quality control
• May require travel and overnight stay. Daily per diem provided for lodging and meals
