Job summary

Qualifications

• Real estate management, negotiations and appraisal principles knowledge.
• Knowledge of State Land Court and land records.
• Course credits in real estate appraisal, law, negotiations, engineering and/or management desirable.
• Experience in land management for large Hawaiian land holdings desirable.
• Proficiency with PCs and common office software.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate and manage land rights, easements, leases, and deeds for Hawaiian Electric, Maui Electric and Hawaii Electric Light projects.
• Coordinate with engineers and planners to identify real property needs and verify permits and designations.
• Maintain files and records for Land & Rights of Way; prepare legal documents and attachments.
• Prepare PUC applications and testify on land matters as required.
• Manage title investigations and external requests for use of company land and easement areas.
