Job summary

Bohler's Albany, NY office is seeking an Assistant Project Manager (Land Development) who will partner with project managers and multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative land development solutions and grow as both an engineer and a leader.

You will support project delivery, coordinate with clients and municipalities, mentor junior staff, and contribute to Bohler's reputation for technical excellence and partnership through hands-on leadership.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
6+ years of site design and jurisdictional permitting experience.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and drainage software; strong MS Office skills.
PE license beneficial; experience with client and municipal coordination.

Responsibilities

Support project management activities including scoping, proposals, schedules, and resource planning.
Oversee preparation of site plan packages for grading, drainage, utilities, and erosion control.
Coordinate permitting and entitlement processes with clients, municipalities, and agencies.
Prepare contracts, change orders, and invoices; track financial performance.
Collaborate with clients, attorneys, contractors, and subconsultants for project success.
Review concept drawings and cost estimates aligned with client objectives.
Participate in public hearings, community meetings, and professional organizations.
Mentor junior staff and share technical knowledge to grow the team.
