Job summary

David Weekley Homes is seeking a Land Development Manager to guide land opportunities from evaluation to lot delivery in the Charleston division. You will drive strategic alignment and collaborate with cross-functional partners to support growth and profitability goals.

Responsibilities include managing land development, due diligence, budgeting, proformas, and coordinating with engineers, contractors, and city representatives to ensure financially sound projects and timely lot delivery.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in residential land development, including entitlement, due diligence, budgeting, and lot delivery.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and CAD.

Responsibilities

• Manage the development of residential lots in new communities.
• Participate in due diligence review, underwriting, and approvals for proposed new land acquisitions.
• Coordinate with engineers, planners, contractors, city representatives, and JV partners to achieve objectives.
• Assess feasibility of land purchases with VP of Land and Land Acquisition Managers.
• Prepare proformas and budgets; project financial outcomes under varied development scenarios.
• Develop active projects from acquisition to lot delivery; oversee outside developers and JV partners.
• Support land strategy with pre-planning and cost information during conceptual phases; manage lot delivery.
• Review and approve development-related invoices monthly.
