Job summary

CES Group Engineers, LLP is seeking a Land Development Engineer to design and manage land development and infrastructure projects, including grading, drainage, stormwater, roads, utilities, and site layouts. You will collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to meet project requirements and regulatory standards.

Job description

The Land Development Engineer will play a critical role in designing and managing land development and infrastructure projects, including grading, drainage, stormwater management, roads, utilities, and site layouts. You will collaborate with project managers, engineers, and others to ensure designs meet project requirements, local regulations, and industry standards.

Job Responsibilities:

Design and Development

• Develop detailed design plans for land development, site design, infrastructure, drainage systems, and site development
• Create accurate models and drawings using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other design software
• Ensure designs meet project specifications and adhere to safety, quality, and regulatory requirements

Technical Documentation

• Prepare and review engineering drawings, reports, and specifications
• Maintain accurate documentation for all design revisions and updates
• Support the creation of permits and other compliance-related documentation

Collaboration and Coordination

• Work closely with project managers and other engineering disciplines
• Provide technical support during project planning and construction phases

Regulatory Compliance

• Ensure that all designs comply with local, state, and federal engineering codes and standards
• Prepare documentation for regulatory submissions and address compliance issues as necessary
• Stay updated on changes to engineering regulations and environmental policies
• Utilize Civil 3D and other design tools for project development
• Implement the latest design technologies and methodologies for efficient workflows

Quality Control

• Conduct thorough quality assurance checks on designs, specifications, and calculations
• Review and revise designs to resolve any errors or omissions before submissionEnsure all design deliverables meet company and client standards for accuracy and detail

Requirements:

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field

Experience

• Experience with Civil 3D and other civil engineering design software
• Prefer 3+ years of working experience in the industry

Credentials/Certifications

• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred in North Carolina or ability to obtain within first six (6) months
