Job summary

A multi-discipline engineering firm in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Survey Project Manager with a minimum of five years' experience in land surveying. The ideal candidate will have proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and demonstrate strong communication skills while managing resources for various surveying projects. Qualifications

Regional Director of Survey Operations, Raleigh
Survey Project Manager

CES Group Engineers, LLP, an award-winning multi-discipline firm serving the Carolinas and beyond, is seeking a Survey Project Manager with five (5) or more years of relevant experience to join our growing team in Charlotte, NC. While this opportunity currently exists in our Charlotte, NC location, applicants across the Carolinas may apply as well.

Responsibilities:
  • Must be able to perform survey calculations and direct the daily activities of field survey crews, while managing resources and budgets for multiple concurrent projects, including, but not limited to, boundary, ALTA, topographic, design and construction surveying assignments
  • Must be capable of organizing, prioritizing tasks, and coordinating field and office surveying practices
  • Quality control review of field survey data, and preparation of survey documentation and drawings
  • Interact with clients and occasionally travel to client or project sites
  • Coordination with the works of others
  • This position primarily operates in a professional office environment, utilizing standard office equipment
Qualifications:
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Surveying or Civil Engineering Technology, or a related field is preferred, but not required
  • Licensed Professional Land Surveying License (PLS) in North Carolina or South Carolina is a plus, but not required
  • Five (5) years or more of land surveying experience is required, including demonstrated proficiency with field surveying techniques and survey office practices
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Carlson Survey software is required. Experience with Trimble Business Center and MicroStation is a plus
  • Good interpersonal skills and well-developed oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to effectively interface with the Geomatics Division Manager, other project team members, clients and office staff
